Hello everyone, this is the first greeting from us - Derryck and Megan!
We are close friends for so long timeee.
The year 2023 is when we both coincidentally made the same decision: study abroad, in the same period. It was at the point that an idea took shape: a weekly ritual called "Buddy Reflecting Session".
Every week, we need to dedicate one hour to meet up, taking turns reflecting on the past seven days in our lives. The discussion will range from our academic programs, local cultural experiences, to working skills, as well as our challenges as individuals in 2 different countries.
Seriously, those one-hour sessions had a great impact on us. They had sparked our curiosity and fueled our desire to explore the world around us.
In this very moment, 24 articles were created, covering more than 10 diverse topics ranging from Culture, History, Language, Philosophy, Technology,… Every single bit is closely intertwined with our research and personal observations.
Encouraged by the desire to discover more sources to share with the buddy at the end of each week, we have been motivated to reach new experiences that we haven't tried before: going to a bar with six friends from six different countries and gaining a lottt fascinating insights into their backgrounds, or interning at a vegetarian restaurant to understand the vegetarian culture, meeting may special friends there,…
In 2023, with one hour of sharing each week, Derryck and Megan had been able to live an additional life, and get a-second-brain through the buddy.
In 2024, we WANT TO INVITE YOU come join this journey with us! We sincerely hope that you can experience our lives, log in our mindsets, or just simply learn something interesting to broaden your perspectives from us, or , from two young individuals who have the privilege to travel far, the privilege to curiously explore the world, and the privilege to sometimes struggle with their adult lives.

I won first prize in Physics at a competition among specialized schools in Northern Vietnam during high school and received a scientific scholarship. But later in life, I pursued everything completely opposite :))
I have a collection of weird websites (like a website that rewrites song lyrics in the style of Chế Lan Viên? :)
And finally: we both have two contrasting personalities coexisting within , so it's highly likely that our writings will be the same :) (they could be both academic and fun, both profound, but also could make you laugh :), hopefully :))
